How many
buttons do I need?
For a
Highland Vest, not more than 5 on each side. My preference is for
medium sized buttons as small are very tiny. . For the wee
Dancers, my preference is 4 medium sized buttons on each side.
On a jacket
you need not more than 5 on each sleeve. Either 5 small or 3
medium would be my preference. I find that 5 medium sized are a
lot, unless the

Braid for vests, jackets
Observation
- running the braid quickly under warm tap water
prior to stitching to vest/jacket makes it more
pliable. Do not soak the braid and be sure to pat
off excess water first. The braid will coil up like
a phone cord when damp.
