A Wee bit about Sandra’s Irish Dance Shop. My name is Sandra Hotchkiss and I am the proprietor. I hail from Greenock, Scotland. I was an accomplished Highland Dancer and emigrated to Canada in 1989 with my husband Jim and our two young Daughters Ashley & Heather. Four Daughters completed our family (Ashley, Heather, Lynsey & Fiona) and they, like myself blossomed in the legacy of all things dance.

In 2002 I started my business Heart of the Highlands Dance Supplies in Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia, and a couple of years later I expanded the business to incorporate Irish & Scottish Country Dance Supplies.

In 2018 Jim and I moved from Hammonds Plains to Granville Ferry Nova Scotia and I passed The Highland Dance side of the business on to Laura & then subsequently Glenda of The Purple Ghillie.

I now trade as Sandra’s Irish Dance Shop and continue to marvel at the wonderful world of dancers, coaches, dance parents, and extended dance families.
